Formed in early 2017, Steer Economic Development was established to build on Steer's existing strength in transport, and enhance their service offer to adjacent policy areas such as enterprise, knowledge and innovation, skills and employment and wider infrastructures.
Led by Simon Pringle, former MD at agency SQW, the senior leadership team includes Scott Dickinson formerly of Scott Dickinson Associates, SQW Ltd and OPM Ltd; Josh Stott formerly of Genecon Consultants and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation; and Fiona Tuck formerly of Trends Business Research Ltd.
Based out of offices in Manchester, Leeds and London, the team help clients to improve the competitiveness and potential of their places, sectors and markets. Key specialisms in their work include the roles of STEM subjects, knowledge and skills, and enterprise and innovation in improving economic performance.
