Seizing the technological advantage

In an increasingly complex world where change is rapid and focused on meeting the needs of individuals, identifying, understanding and harnessing the role of technology is key. Steer works with its clients to bring a clarity of thought and approach to the understanding of customers and the role of technology and disruptive change.

We draw insights from across Steer to understand how technology is shaping cities, infrastructure and transport. For example, we understand what it means for consumers, how it might revolutionise revenue capture, the policy implications for city planners and the questions for regulators.

We support our clients to create policies, strategies, plans and digital products centred around the end-user with a clear understanding of their unique context. We help our clients to prepare for the future, navigate transformational technological change and all the while ensuring that their people, places and economies can continue to thrive.

In our own projects, we deploy technology to create and offer powerful insights. From the surveying and analysis of ticketless travel to expert spatial analysis and mapping, we offer impactful insights clearly communicated. We create understanding of the impacts of new transport systems and city developments on each other and identify the opportunities, risks and mitigations that arise.
