Working with Northern Powerhouse stakeholders to promote trade & investment in the North

Steer Economic Development is working with the Northern Powerhouse Trade and Investment Officers’ Forum to promote inward investment and exports for the North’s Prime industrial capabilities: Energy Generation, Health Innovation, Advanced Manufacturing Process and Materials, and Digital. 

The work includes analysis of the Northern Powerhouse’s role in Global Value Chains, along with sources of inward investment and major export markets, and the North’s key assets. The work dovetails with other projects led by the NP11 LEP Chairs, to develop actions to promote the North’s Prime Capabilities in relation to supply chains and innovation, and potential contribution to the Grand Challenges identified in the UK Industrial Strategy: Clean Growth, Future Mobility, Ageing Society, and AI.
