NW Eco-Innovation Science & Innovation Audit

With the experience of a successful Advanced Manufacturing Wave One Science and Innovation Audit (SIA) proposal under its belt, Lancaster University is now producing a Wave Three SIA on Eco-Innovation. This is drawing on its international standing, expertise and connections in Eco-Innovation to lead a cross-border partnership which includes nine universities, all the North West’s LEPs, multiple businesses and the Welsh Ambition Board.

Lancaster University have commissioned SDG Economic Development to inform and shape the production of this Third Wave SIA. Our assessment is that, by reaching across regional and national borders, this is a collaboration based on the ecosystem as ‘facts on the ground’, rather than a convenient assembly of neat administrative boundaries. It reflects not only respect for Lancaster University’s leadership in the sector, but highlights clearly the unique mix of complementary research, skills, and facilities that will make an audit viable and valuable.
