Evaluating the ‘Made Smarter Programme’ pilot

Steer Economic Development, in partnership with the Enterprise Research Centre, Sheffield University and BMG Research, is working with Local Enterprise Partnerships in the North West of England on a 3-year evaluation of the Made Smarter programme pilot.

The programme is led by Growth Company, Greater Manchester, and was launched in November 2018. The evaluation steering group, which met in early December 2018, includes colleagues from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Be the Business, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and the University of Cambridge.  The evaluation will review progress every quarter, and produce annual progress reports, business-level case studies and thematic papers to inform national policy and programme delivery.
