I am a Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in transportation from the University of Bologna, my home city. I started my career in 2004 working for TPS-PTV Vision in Italy where I developed strong modelling skills working on several transport plans for cities, provinces and regions in Italy.
After four years I decided I needed new challenges and experiences and I wanted to see a bit more of the world. Steer Davies Gleave was offering all of these things and I joined the company in 2008. After a couple of years, I moved to London for a secondment. It was supposed to be for one year but ended up being two! I really loved London and it was a great experience for me, both workwise and personally.
In these two years, I worked with the international infrastructure team on very exciting and demanding projects in several countries. I have learned a lot from all of the colleagues I have worked with and I have made some very good friends.
In 2012 I moved back to Bologna, since then I have been project manager of almost all the international project done by the Italian offices or with international clients. In 2013 I went to the Mexican office for the first time, for two months, since them I am constantly collaborating with them and been there for different projects almost every year.
These ten years have definitely been very exciting! I really feel part of one company, I have collaborated with the London, Leeds, Boston, New York, Mexico, Colombia and Chile offices in several projects more than ten countries. One of my main goals now is to continue to increase the support and collaboration between offices and encourage and support the Italian staff to do the same.
