Patrick has over 15 years of economic development experience bringing a thorough understanding of local, regional and sub-regional economic policy, business support and growth strategies.
Before joining Steet-ED he worked at the Leeds City Region LEP / West Yorkshire Combined Authority for eight years and led the development of the region’s business support offer. Patrick has a track record of developing successful business cases and securing funding including for the long-term future of the West Yorkshire Growth Hub and SME innovation support programmes.
He has experience of working with government departments, and across regional boundaries through the national Growth Hub network, Northern Powerhouse Growth Hub network and through the development and delivery of Yorkshire’s Made Smarter Programme supporting industrial digitisation.
As a Principal Consultant, Patrick brings his analytical skills and strategic thinking together with a detailed national, region and sub-regional policy understanding. This experience supports his work on case making and policy/strategy development, with a particular business support and innovation specialism.
